FAQ

Frequently asked questions

If you have any other questions, please do not hesitate to contact us.

You can obtain legal advice regarding an existing or potential legal dispute. When you are considering filing a lawsuit, what you need to do legally and the likely outcomes of the case fall within the scope of legal consultancy. You can also obtain information before a potential dispute — for example, before signing a contract — about the risks you may face and the measures to take against them.

Legal advice can be obtained in all kinds of civil and criminal cases — for example, in a tax offence case or an action for cancellation and registration of a title deed. You can learn about the possible outcomes of your case, the measures you need to take and the legal remedies available to you. However, procedural steps such as submitting evidence or filing a response are subject to strict time limits, especially in civil proceedings, so advice should be obtained before these deadlines expire.

Online legal consultancy is no different from consultancy obtained in person at a law office. The minimum consultancy fee is set out in the Attorneys' Minimum Fee Tariff published each year. For the 2024–2025 judicial year this fee is TRY 3,500.00, and our firm charges TRY 3,500.00 regardless of duration.

Our firm focuses primarily on Commercial Law and Intellectual Property Law and provides extensive corporate legal consultancy services. Our services are delivered by attorneys who carry out academic work in Capital Markets and Commercial Law as well as Intellectual Property Law.

Under Article 164/4 of the Turkish Attorneys' Act, attorneys are prohibited from providing legal services free of charge. If you only wish to obtain legal advice from our firm, we assist you for a fee. However, if a power-of-attorney relationship is subsequently established, the consultancy fee is deducted.

Anyone may file and pursue their own lawsuit; there is no obligation to be represented by a lawyer. However, being right and proving that you are right are very different things. Since many litigation steps are subject to procedural rules, it is in your interest to have them handled by a lawyer.

Before filing a lawsuit, you first need to understand the nature of the legal dispute and the applicable laws. The competent court with jurisdiction must then be determined. You should also identify the evidence you can submit during the proceedings.

The only profession that can assist you in filing a lawsuit is the legal profession. Incorrect advice from another profession or from friends is very likely to cause you to lose your case, so you should always seek support from a lawyer specialised in the relevant field.
